Moffats series 7 has it problems but that was his third, RTD had atrocious episodes but he had good ones he could fall back on. Chibnall, as show runner, has nothing to fall back on and it leads me to believe he is unsuitable for the position. SpletMaybe Chris Chibnall doesn't have that. I really don't know why Chris Chibnall can't write decent Doctor Who episodes (in my opinion anyway), the dude wrote some of the best Torchwood series 1 and 2 episodes, gave all the characters so much attention, and wrote pretty interesting episode concepts e.g. Adrift, Fragments, Exit Wounds, Countrycide.
